"A Transitional Year for Us"

Building upon past success, KMDR Research has expanded its competencies. As a result, 2008 was our highest grossing year ever. Thanks in large part to expanded energy efficiency mandates and the billions allocated to home weatherization, we expect this year to be even better than the last!

Still, the year brings with it many challenges. Legislative and regulatory initiatives will decouple utility profits from the sale of energy. Utilities will respond with greater and greater energy efficiency goals. This will push the industry away from standard offers toward market transformal approaches.

Lucia Lelii, V

We anticipate once taboo conservation mandates, sustainability projects, and even distributed generation initiatives to find their way into the energy efficiency portfolios. Also, additional cap and trade legislation is likely to pass; forcing the CI&I sectors to cut energy use without sacrificing productivity. A likely solution will be performance-based contracting with prominent energy service companies. Our challenge will be to develop MV&E methods to match emergent trends.

KMDR Research will continue to focus on performance tracking, program theory modeling, and market development. By doing so, we will continue to serve organizations wishing to design and better evaluate market interventions. Regardless of the industry, our understanding of the different stages of behavioral change will help you achieve the outcomes desired.

Lucia and I encourage you to join our efforts!

Best Regards,
